The 2022-2023 VA Peninsula Chapter Citizen Centric Report (CCR) is now available on the website. This report contains a summary of our chapter activities and financials for the past program year. Many thanks to Cecelia Smith for preparing accordingly!  

Thanks to everyone who came up to Williamsburg, VA on Thursday, October 12th to help present Melinda Morgan her 2023 Volunteer of the Year Award! We had a great time celebrating her accomplishments as our chapter's PDT Chair Lead for the annual AGA Commonwealth PDT. Melinda has spent (and continues to spend) countless hours in nearly every one of our planning committees to ensure effective communication/coordination between our volunteers and the hotel staff. Congratulations on a well-deserved award!

The 2023-2024 CGFM Study Group for Exam #1 begins Monday, October 2nd and runs through Wednesday, November 29th.  You can find a copy of the latest Study Group schedule by clicking here.

Do you know a college junior, senior, or graduate student pursuing a public service career in government accountability? If so, please encourage them to apply for the AGA VA Peninsula Government Accountability Scholarship. Individuals can apply through the Hampton Roads Community Foundation between December 1, 2023 and March 1, 2024. The scholarship amount varies based upon market conditions, but it is expected to be approximately $1,000.00 and renewable. 

Congratulations to Cecelia Smith who will be honored with AGA's National Author Award at the 2023 AGA PDT Conference in July! 

Congratulations to the AGA Virginia Peninsula Chapter for being awarded the 2023 Platinum Award for Achievements in Chapter Excellence (ACE).

Thanks to everyone who came out for the Year End Social on 25 May 2023 at Bull Island Brewery in Hampton, Virgina. We had a great time celebrating all of the Chapter accomplishments (and new CGFMers) for the 2022-2023 year!

Just a reminder: To celebrate our achievements for the 2022-2023 year, we want to invite everyone to join us for a happy hour THIS Thursday, May 25th, 5:00 - 7:00 pm at Bull Island Brewing Co. Let's raise a glass to our accomplishments!
